Polly Avery Swift

Polly Avery Swift nee Parmele, 89, longtime resident of Glenview, passed away March 1, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Harry M. Swift and the late Robert J. Avery; loving mother of Douglas (Marty) Avery, Charles (Deborah) Avery, Lou Ann (James) Beaumont and Ellen (John) Bilo; cherished grandmother of Pamela and Carolyn Bilo, Nicholas and Brian Beaumont, Patrick (Lindsey) Lytle and Justin (Elif) Lytle; fond great grandmother of Nathan Lytle; dear sister of the late Charles Parmele; aunt of Calvin Hunter; Polly is also survived by her husband, Harry's, four children; Dean, Dale, Mettje, and Sarah,and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Polly was an active member of the Glenview Community Church and was also a member of the PEO. She enjoyed playing bridge. Polly retired from Equitable Insurance Company in 1997. Memorial visitation Monday, March 5, 2012 from 11am until time of the memorial service 11:30am at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St. (at Glenview Rd.), Glenview, IL 60025.
